Current Guidelines
As of now, Sacramento County mandates the following:
- Masks are recommended indoors for all individuals, especially in crowded settings, regardless of vaccination status.
- Vaccinations are strongly encouraged to protect against severe illness. Local vaccination resources and appointment scheduling can be accessed via MyTurn.ca.gov or by calling 211.
Attendee Health and Safety Guidelines
We are excited to welcome you to NAPAC'25! The health and safety of all participants remain our top priority. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone and promote well-being throughout the event, we have assembled the following guidelines.
General Guidelines
As a general rule, please use common sense while traveling to and attending the event. Should you require assistance at any time during the event, please reach out to:
BEFORE THE EVENT
Travel
- Ensure to write down the name and contact information of the event venue and your assigned hotel.
Share Your Plans
- Inform a family member or friend of your travel plans, including the dates you will be away, how you will travel, and where you will stay.
- Research your destination and review requirements for entry/exit, visa requirements, local laws, customs, and medical care. If traveling abroad, note the location of your home country's embassy or consulate (source: U.S. Department of State).
- Notify your bank and credit card companies of your travel plans, and familiarize yourself with the local currency.
- Keep all necessary medications in your carry-on luggage.
Safety
- Make at least two photocopies of your travel documents (passport, driver’s license, credit cards, etc.).
- Leave one copy with a trusted person at home and carry the other separately from your original documents.
- Keep your passport separate from your wallet to avoid theft, and never carry it in your back pocket.
Health
- Refer to the World Health Organization (WHO) website for health guidance specific to your destination.
- Familiarize yourself with local health risks, packing recommendations, and preventative measures.
- If traveling internationally, consult a travel medicine center or physician 4–8 weeks prior to departure to receive any required vaccinations.
- Obtain prescriptions for your medications and prepare a basic medical kit.
- Stay updated on any travel advisories relevant to your destination through the WHO website.
DURING THE EVENT
Safety
- Protect Your Identity:
Wear your name badge only within the event venue and remove it when leaving. When disposing of the badge, scratch out your name and any QR code to protect your information. - Plan for Emergencies:
Stay aware of your surroundings and know the location of the nearest exits.
Use a buddy system by sharing contact information with another attendee and agreeing on a meeting point in case of emergencies.
Report any suspicious activity or safety concerns to event staff immediately. - Protect Your Belongings:
Keep a close watch on your items at all times. Avoid placing bags on the ground or hanging them on the back of your chair.
Report any lost or stolen property to local authorities and cancel any compromised credit cards right away.
Do not leave drinks unattended, and avoid accepting food or beverages from strangers. - Secure Your Vehicle and Accommodations:
Lock your car and keep valuables out of sight.
Do not display your room number on your hotel key.
Health
If you or someone else requires medical assistance, inform event staff or call emergency services at 911.
Keep documentation of your medications, allergies, and blood type, and wear a medical alert bracelet if applicable.
Follow World Health Organization’s (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) guidelines to prevent the spread of infectious diseases:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use hand sanitizer.
- Maintain a distance of at least 1 meter (3 feet) from anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Cough or sneeze into a tissue or the crook of your elbow, and dispose of tissues immediately.
If you experience fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, seek medical care promptly and follow instructions from healthcare professionals.

- In case of an alarm, calmly evacuate the facility, following the directions from emergency personnel and event staff.
