Getting to Sacramento
Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is a convenient option for arriving to Sacramento, with direct flights from numerous U.S. cities. The SAFE Convention Center is approximately a 20- to 30-minute ride from the airport, with Lyft and Uber fares ranging from $30 to $50. As the conference hotel is adjacent to the venue, renting a car may not be necessary.
For international travelers, San Francisco International Airport (SFO) may be the required arrival point. If renting a car, the drive to Davis takes between 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic. A Lyft ride costs approximately $150.
Alternatively, public transit options are available. You can take a combination of BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) + Amtrak, which will bring you to the Sacramento Valley Station. From there, the SAFE Convention Center is about a mile away and can be reached by walking, via bus, Uber, or Lyft. Google Maps provides detailed transit directions for planning your route.
Oakland International Airport (OAK) is another option for travelers. If renting a car, the drive to Davis takes approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on traffic. A Lyft or Uber ride typically costs $120 to $150.
Public transit is also available. You can take the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) Coliseum Line from the airport to an Amtrak station, where you can board a train to the Sacramento Valley Station. From there, the SAFE Convention Center is about a mile away and can be reached on foot, by bus, or via ride-sharing services. Google Maps can help you plan the best route.
Amtrak and regional bus services operate at the Sacramento Valley Station, located approximately one mile from the SAFE Convention Center. From there, you can reach the venue by walking, taking a local bus, or using a ride-sharing service such as Uber or Lyft. Amtrak provides train service from the San Francisco Bay area and the bay area airports as noted above.
Parking is available at the Hyatt Regency for $40 per day for hotel guests and $50 per day for non-guests.
